Been a while since last update - sorry about that.

Played my first game of War of the Ring finally. I brought 900 points of Isengard which allied with a friend's 300 points of Angmar (ghosts).  We fought against Rohan allied with a formation of Dwarves with Gimli in it.

What a fun game. I had a great time, I'll definitely be focusing on this game as one of the main games I play (in addition to Warmachine).  Very fun and I cant wait to increase my Isengard army, add to my growing Gondor force, and start Elves in June with the new plastics! lol

The highlite was Lurtz calling out Gimli for a duel and killing him, I would say. Saruman was a major force too. Twice he used magic to immobilize Theoden's formations which was very helpful. Oh and my Troll cut down a few horses which was nice.  We won the game based on victory objectives (capture and hold "tokens") even though we were taking more casualties from all the cavalry charges. At one point Saruman's formation was caught in a Rohan sandwich, with Eomer charging one flank and Theoden on the other.

Good times! I'll try to take pics of my Isengard force soon. Although I have to admit it's "mostly brown" lol.  Not a lot of flash and sizzle in that force. Gondor will be a bit better with a mounted Gandalf etc.
